Charlestown Candle Co. was born just a few blocks from the Bunker Hill Monument, in a neighborhood where history and community run deep. I’m Brendan — founder, maker, and longtime Charlestown resident. For me, a great candle is more than wax and fragrance — it’s a way to mark a moment, remember a place, or make an ordinary day feel a little richer. That’s the heart of Charlestown Candle Co.
From Our Kitchen to Your Home
What started as a few small-batch pours in my kitchen quickly turned into late nights testing scents, sourcing the right materials, and building a brand that feels as authentic as the place it’s from. Every candle I pour is a mix of two things I love: honoring where I’m from and creating something people can enjoy every day.
Inspired by History, Poured by Hand
Our candles are hand-poured in small batches using Golden Brands 464 soy wax, premium fragrance oils, and cotton wicks. Inspired by history, each scent and name is a nod to Charlestown’s past and present. We create candles that are made to last, with a clean burn and a scent throw designed to fill your home without overpowering it.
Meet Lenny, the Shop Dog
Every candle poured at Charlestown Candle Co. comes with a little extra heart. This is Lenny — my four-legged co-founder, shop dog, and unofficial head of customer relations. While I focus on getting the scent just right, Lenny handles the important work: keeping me company during late-night pours and making sure the neighborhood stops by for a hello. He's the one who reminds me why home matters so much.
